Ingredients for Parwal Sabzi –

Parwal – 301 grams
Aloo – 4
Onion – 2
Tomato – 2
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds(cumin) – 1/2 tsp
Bay leaves(curry leaves) – 2
Black cardamom – 1
Black Peppers(Black Salt) – 6
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste – Salt to taste
Cooking oil – 5 tbsp

Method of making, aalu parwal ki sabji recipe – Step by Step

  1. First we will take 300 grams Parwal, wash it thoroughly and cut it as per our requirement.
  2. Cut 4 medium sized potatoes into equal pieces.
  3. Now we will put 3 to 4 spoons of oil in the pressure cooker, you can use a pan.
  4. As soon as the oil gets hot, put the potatoes and Parwal in the oil and fry them, this makes the vegetable good.
  5. Potatoes – Fry the parwal for 4 to 5 minutes when it starts turning slightly brown.
  6. Take out your fried potatoes and then add 3 teaspoons of oil back into the cooker.
  7. Now add 2 curry leaves, cumin, black salt and chopped black cardamom in oil.
  8. After this, we will add 2 finely chopped onions in it and keep cooking it until the onion starts changing color.
  9. Now add 1 spoon ginger-garlic paste in it and cook for 10 seconds.
  10. Now we will add ½ teaspoon turmeric, 2 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon coriander powder and ½ teaspoon cumin powder and cook it well.
  11. After the spices are cooked well, add 2 finely chopped tomatoes and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  12. After the tomatoes become soft, add your fried potato-parwal to it and mix it well with the spices.
  13. Now mix it well, after cooking for 3-4 minutes, add 1 cup of water to it and add salt as per taste, close the pressure cooker and cook till 2 whistles.
  14. After this your vegetable is ready and lastly add some chopped coriander to it.
